HOW TO GET TO SHANNON SAILING FROM LOUGH DERG BY WATER

The clear channel through the reeds to our marina is entered on the south shore of Dromineer Bay some 300 metres west of Dromineer public harbour. As you approach Dromineer look to Starboard and see a line of mooring buoys pointing at the shore. Keep these to Starboard and run parallel to them. You will see Blue Markers defining the channel to Shannon Sailing. Draft up to 2.1 metres.

HOW TO GET TO SHANNON SAILING BY ROAD

From Nenagh, Co. Tipperary take the R495 through Ballycommon to Dromineer. Our village in small and you should have no difficulty finding Shannon Sailing. As you arrive in the village, you do so at a crossroads, with the Harbour in front of you, the Dromineer Bay Hotel on your right hand side. Go straight on at the crossroads along the side of the harbour and turn left along the beach-front. Go on through the narrower portion and see the children’s play area. Bear left leaving the swings on your right. Enter the secure area and bear right. You will see our large building in front of you. Our office and chandlery are facing the water.

HOW TO GET TO IRELAND

By Sea/road Irish Ferries or Stena Sealink: Holyhead (North Wales) to Dublin or Dun Laoghaire. Fishguard or Pembroke Dock to Rosslare. Irish Ferries or Brittany Ferries: Cherbourg or Le Havre to Rosslare or Cork. By air To Dublin or Shannon. All major airlines from the UK and Continent, several also from the USA Low cost carriers include Ryanair (Dublin and Shannon) and Virgin Express (Shannon)

HOW TO GET TO DROMINEER

By road Dromineer is 6 miles from the market town of Nenagh (which is on the main N7 road from Dublin to Limerick), 25 miles from the city of Limerick, 30miles from Shannon Airport and 110 miles from Dublin. Customers can be collected from their arrival point in Ireland by arrangement

Coaches run from Dublin Airport and Dublin Central Bus Station (Busaras) to Nenagh or from Shannon Airport via Limerick. Taxis are available in Nenagh for the short journey to Shannon Sailing.

The Main N7 Route bypasses Nenagh, with 2 exits for Nenagh, one at the East (Roscrea) end, and one at the South West (Limerick) end.

The quickest and easiest way to Dromineer is to take the South West exit, then backtrack towards Nenagh, taking the N52 Road (Signposted to Birr & Borrisokane) which circles Nenagh to the West.

You continue along the N 52 until you come to a junction marked R 495 Dromineer (to the left). Follow this R495 into Dromineer after about 6 miles.
