Shannon Sailing is a privately owned company on Lough Derg, Ireland’s foremost inland sailing water. Our wholly owned, secure and well sheltered harbour facilities are in the village of Dromineer near Nenagh in Co Tipperary, Irish Republic. The company has six divisions:

We provide an 80 berth fully serviced Marina alongside of which is our large heated Engineering workshop. Under the management of a professional marine engineer (Paul Harris) it provides a full range of engineering services.

Paul has extensive sea-going experience and in the refitting and maintenance of most types of vessel and marine engine. Together with our well-qualified workforce, he aims to provide the premier Marine Engineering and Boat Maintenance Service on the Shannon with a Boat Lifter up to 35 tons. We are specialists in Marine Propulsion Systems and can install engines and drive systems.

The Chandlery at Dromineer is the leading facility in the Mid-West and carries an extensive range of Boating and Sailing supplies from leading Manufacturers.

We also Sell New Boats, Pre-owned Boats and Engines. We can sell your boat.

We run a Sailing School for all ages.

We Charter Yachts and Hire Boats for short periods and longer at very competitive rates.

Shannon Sailing Marina Complex is within its own secure area with code-key gated access, is fully serviced and is easily accessible from all entry ports into Ireland and from the N7 main Dublin-Limerick Rd (7 miles).
Our Managing Director and Sales Manager is Pat McCool. He is passionate about Quality and Customer Service and will ensure that these are delivered to Shannon Sailing’s customers. He lives on Lough Derg and is a keen sailor. He is backed by Paul Harris as Engineering Manager and Sheila our Management Accountant. Paul has extensive experience in Marine Propulsion Systems. Sheila is experienced in looking after management accounts. The management is backed by our skilled team of craftsmen and “men/maids of all-work”.
